Shipping, delivery & installation.
Every piece we sell is made to order in our Ringgold workshop and sent out flat-packed. At checkout you choose how it reaches you: delivered to the curb by freight, or delivered and installed by our own crew if you live near the shop. This page explains both.

01What we send, and two ways to get it
Every order is made to order and flat-packed. We cut, edge, finish and drill every part in our shop, and we do the fiddly assembly before it is boxed: the drawer slides are fitted, the drawer fronts are on, every door hinge is mounted, every cabinet connector is in place, and a bed's face comes assembled. The units themselves are put together where they will stand.
At checkout you choose one of two options:
- Delivery (curbside). Your order ships on a pallet by freight carrier, and the driver lowers it to the curb with a liftgate. Carrying it in and putting it together is up to you.
- Delivery + Installation. Within 100 miles of our workshop only. Our own crew brings your order on our truck, carries every piece into the room, puts it together, anchors it to the wall studs, levels it, and takes the packaging away.
There is no pickup from the workshop.
02Where we ship and install
We ship curbside to addresses in the lower 48 states and Washington, DC. For Alaska, Hawaii and the U.S. territories, call us and we will see what we can do.
We install within 100 miles of our Ringgold, GA workshop. The checkout offers Delivery + Installation only to an address inside that area.
Every town we install in, and what our crew does on the day, is on our White-Glove Installation page.
If the checkout cannot work out delivery to your address, it will say so before you pay. Check the address, or call us.
03What delivery costs
Curbside delivery is charged at checkout on every order, whatever its size. It is one line, worked out for your order and your address, and you see it before you pay.
Delivery + Installation is priced at checkout too, as one line for your order.
Sales tax is added at checkout where we are required to collect it.
04Build time, shipping & scheduling
Every order is a custom order, so we start building once your order is confirmed and paid.
- Curbside orders usually ship in about three to four weeks, then spend about 3–7 days in transit. We email you when your order ships.
- Installation orders are usually installed in about three to four weeks. When your order is nearly ready, we contact you to set an install day that works for you.
These times are estimates, not guarantees. Materials, the options you chose, the carrier, weather and our install calendar can all move the date. If anything changes, we will tell you promptly.
05Curbside delivery day
- The carrier delivers to the curb or the end of the driveway. The driver does not carry it inside or up steps.
- An adult (18 or older) needs to be there to check the boxes and sign for them.
- The boxes are heavy and some are long. Have a second person, or more, to carry them in.
- Give us a phone number the carrier can reach you on.
If the carrier cannot deliver because no one is there or the address is wrong, a second delivery attempt may cost extra. We will tell you what it is before it is booked.
With curbside delivery, you put it together and fix it to the wall, following the assembly guide for your bed or cabinet. Work with a helper, and never open a bed until its cabinet is screwed to the wall studs. Our warranty still covers the materials and hardware; it does not cover the assembly or installation, or damage or injury that comes from them. See our warranty.
06Getting ready for install day
If you chose Delivery + Installation, please:
- Have an adult (18 or older) at home for the whole visit.
- Clear the wall and floor where the piece will go, and a path to that room.
- Make sure doorways, hallways, stairs, and elevators can take the pieces through.
- Keep children and pets away from the work area.
- Tell us ahead of time about anything unusual in the wall, such as plaster, masonry, or wiring and pipes where the piece will hang.
- Give us a phone number we can reach you on to confirm the day.
If we cannot complete a scheduled install because no one is home, the space is not ready, or the address is wrong, we will contact you to reschedule. A repeat trip may carry a second-trip fee, and we will tell you what it is before we book it.
07Our right to refuse
We reserve the right to refuse, delay, or stop an installation when, in our judgment, it cannot be done safely or properly. For example, when:
- The wall or floor cannot safely hold the piece, or we cannot find solid framing to anchor it to.
- The space, the path to it, or the measurements do not match the order.
- There are hazards at the site, such as mold, pests, exposed wiring, or unsafe stairs or floors.
- Our crew is treated in a threatening, abusive, or unsafe way.
If this happens, we will tell you why and what needs to change, and we will reschedule once it is fixed. A second trip may carry a fee, as above. Our wider right to refuse or cancel an order, including a shipment, is set out in our Terms of Service.
08Checking your order
Curbside: before you sign for a freight delivery, count the boxes and look over every one, all sides. If a box is crushed, torn, wet or punctured, or one is missing, write it on the carrier's delivery receipt before you sign, and take photos. Then open the boxes and check the parts as soon as you can.
Installation: before our crew leaves, please look over your piece with them and try it out. If anything is scratched, damaged, missing, or not working right, point it out then, so we can note it and fix it.
Either way, if you find a problem, contact us within 48 hours of delivery or installation, with photos, so we can put it right quickly.
09Damage in transit or during installation
We pack every part to travel, but damage can still happen. If your order arrives damaged or a part is missing, note it on the carrier's receipt as above, then call us or email sales@southeastmurphybeds.com with your order number and photos. We file the claim with the carrier, and we repair or replace what was damaged, at no cost to you.
If your order is damaged during installation by our crew, or our crew damages your home during the visit, that is our responsibility too. Tell us before the crew leaves, or within 48 hours, and we will make it right.
10Title & risk of loss
Your order stays our property and our risk while it is in our workshop, on our truck, or with the freight carrier. Title and risk of loss pass to you when it is delivered to your address, or, with Delivery + Installation, when our crew has installed it.
Questions about shipping or installation?
Ask us before you order. We would rather answer a question now than have a surprise on delivery day. See also our Custom Orders & Cancellations Policy and Terms of Service.
